[8.050][FEATURE][OPEN] Feature: Disconnect button for pppoe

Hi, if its not too much trouble, can you guys add a disconnect button for the pppoe interface. The button should just stop the pppoe script and doesn't take down the whole interface.

I had a short dsl outage this morning and astaro keeps trying to reconnect unless you take the whole interface down. No big deal if it needs a feature request, its not that important.

    Why do you need the interface UP while the PPPoE should be stopped?
    Do you have additional addresses configured? Otherwise I see no point in just disabling the pppoe interface.

    Anyway, I think an additional button will confuse the majority of the people.
    Beside from the log messages is there anything else that annoys you while
    the ASG tries to reconnect the PPPoE line?

    Hi Ulrich thanks for the response. Besides additional address issue, snort is also reloaded among other things when an interface is taken down. You shouldn't have to take down an interface because your dsl is down. I don't like the memory management when snort is reloaded and have a thread about it [URL="http://www.astaro.org/astaro-beta-versions/asg-v8-100-beta/34391-8-050-bug-open-snort-memory-usage-restart.html"]here

    I understand the confusion of an additional button but most dsl devices and pppoe software doesn't have a reconnect button. They just have a disconnect and connect button. 

    Like I said, its not that important. I happened to need it when my dsl circuit was down but most people won't need it 99% of the time.
