Hi gband, the problem is one of impact, for the work required to officially integrate and "support" it, means that our support teams need to be trained on Hyper-v, and we must guarantee it works with ASG in all areas, its unfortunately not just as simple as adding some driver support. For this effort, we would see an impact of much less than 1% of our user base, so while we'd like to do a lot of things in many areas, we carefully evaluate where to spend our precious development resources so as to have the best impact for our market.
Thats not to say virtualization isn't important to us; our tight ties with vmware are not corporate or politically-based, its a simple measure of impact, more people use VMware than any other virtualization system, period. Citrix is a close second, and hyper-v is a far distant third. Regardless, we are hoping quite eagerly to be able to integrate the necessary resources to better support hyper-v in 8.200 in early 2011, i hope that can meet your expectations.
