[8.050][BUG][OPEN] Webadmin not accesible with IE8

Hi,
sounds like a security certificate issue.

MS is a bit paranoid when it comes to security certificates that is why I prefer to use FF.

Have you tried importing the ASG certificate into IE?

Hello. After clicking "Perform Basic system setup", after installation, IE8 returns"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
At the same time i can access webadmin with Firefox,login and manage the system with no problem.

when you first access the webadmin, the ASG uses an automatically generated certificate signed by an automatically generated CA. When you run through the basic setup and enter your real hostname, a new CA and certificate with these information will be created. This causes all browsers to complain about a new, unknown certificate, which they don't trust as ist is self-signed.

So it's an correct and wanted behavior of the ASG and your browser. 
To get rid of the security warning about unsecure webadmin certificate you can import the CA into your browsers CA store.

Hello. What i meant is that i don't get to the security warning message for the certificate. I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message, as if the server doesn't exist at all. At the same time firefox can connect to webadmin.

Maybe you were a little bit to fast, and the Webadmin was not fully started at that time. Do you have permanent issues with accessing the ASG using your Internet Explorer?
