My QoS was completely broke during earlier betas but I haven't tried it during the last few releases. I tried some QoS today and it seems to be working on the external interface. Is this resolved now?
Yes the temporary fix was to enable QoS on the internal interface but that didn't work for me when sending emails with large attachments etc. But now I am only using QoS on external interface like I did with v7 and so far so good[;)]
Hi Billybob, initially the temp fix didn't work for me until I examined the fix thread in more detail. Changed the config and bingo it works.
I can send large e-mails without taking over the whole outgoing link, which is good, very impressive actually, because I don't think QOS had worked very well until then.
@Billybob: as Ian said: maybe you have to re-read the thread where we discussed the QoS problems, because the way we present QoS in the GUI is counterintuitive. In general: QoS works.
Thanks for the screenshots. You have QoS enable on every interface as a workaround? I have smtp and ftp traffic selectors with limiting upload but till this version, I wasn't successful in throttling my bandwidth.
So the bottom line is that QoS is working like it did in v7 now or will it be working like that before the GA?
