[7.951][QUESTION][OPEN] Memory Mismatch (Astaro vice VMWare)

The memory utilization displayed in Webmin is about 2GB different then what VMWare is reporting. The memory allocated for Astaro VM is 4GB. The Astaro VM states 1.8Gb is being used and Astaro reports 80 percent of the memory is in use.

Has anyone else encoutered this?

         Where there is a spike in memory usage up close to 4Gig and when memory has returned to normal levels Astaro will report the the memory level is still at the same when the spike occurred. Example: A process causes the memory to climb to 3.4GB and once the memory is no longer in use VMware will recover the memory for use elsewhere but the memory use displayed in Astaro will not change.

          I adjusted the memory allocated in VMWare to 2Gb and the problem has not reoccurred. I will try to recreate the problem using 3GB allocated to the host memory.

    But why should this be a problem of the ASG? A guest doesn't see what bad tricks the Host plays with memory, it only sees the configured memory (4GB in the first scenario). What did you expect?
