[7.950][NOTABUG][CLOSED] prefetch not working

Hi All

for the last day or two I am unable to receive emails on my personal accounts. Checking the logs (pop3 proxy )revealed there are successful connections to the accounts but no prefetch exists. I think the issue started to happen when I started messing with the system time and date.Prefetch is enabled on the gui with 80 seconds prefetch time. I've compared the old logs and the new and the prefetch functionality is simply not there. I've tested my account with the (test email) and i know that I do get emails.

    I've just checked with adding a new account on my outlook client and then configuring it on the ASG and the prefetch works fine for the new account but not for the old one :S

    I am also not receiving the executive reports and notification at all. I know that they are send as they should (success smtp on the mail manager) but I am unable to get them on my outlook :s

    All there problems started to appearing when I messed up with the system time and date (not sure if it relates)

    This is definitely due to your experiments with the system time. Seems like you have to wait till Saturday for your email to go through the proxy again. Maybe you should just re-install instead of stepping into more fallout from your failed experiment?

    you guys are killing me [:P]

    the issue I have is that if I add a new client prefetch works fine..it's only the old one that don't work. I will re add them from scratch and let you know what happens. Removing all relevant pop account from the relecant section on my ASG and readding them did the trick.I jsut got all the emails now. I still believe that this shouldn't happen.I still have the wron time issue but I can get the emails now

    Well, from my point of view, the ASG is working as expected. You changed the time to 6 days in the future (next saturday if i remember correctly), checked POP3 with that account, and moved back in time to what i would roughly describe as "today".

    When you were in the future, the POP3 proxy had set (that's fantastic, i'm using a past tense form to describe the future) a timeout that says "oh, i just checked the email. Don't come back in the next 5 minutes". So in the past (or today), the POP3 proxy still sees the "saturday +5minutes" as the effective moment, after which it will check new mail again.

    So once again: don't play with the time, you might be hurting eternity... ;-)
