Yes, the status of the items on the KIL is synchronized automatically with the state of the IDs in the bug tracker, so this is what you observed and mentioned above.

The fact that you haven't seen any new items on the list is due to the fact that we have to sit down and discuss if we put them on the list. This is one topic of a weekly meeting, and in most cases we agree to just fix the issues as quick as possible, instead of putting them on that list. So the general agreement is to put only those issues on the KIL where we know that it'll take some time to fix them, because normally you can see what's currently broken from a quick glance at the current "hot topics" in this forum ;-)
