Hi Today which is first day after update to 7.921 I noticed I didn't get any POP3 email.
I turned off Prefetch and opened the bandwidth monitor and retired getting POP3 email and all worked OK with traffic on port 110.
though the failed connection to ctasd is an issue (we are already working on, Mantis ID 14128), I fail to see that your prefetch stops working. The attached logfile shows a successful prefetch run every 60 minutes for both accounts. Do you find any evidence for the failing prefetch somewhere else in the logfiles?

After Upgrading to 7.950 I noticed the same POP3 problem. With the email client receiving "Connection to server mail.***.***.xx Timed out"
The system was rebooted at about 15:39 (for ref in log file)
I have attached the log file for that period.
ps no POP3 traffic (clients) would have accessed the network prior to the restart.
