[7.921][QUESTION][ANSWERED] HTTP proxy and IPv6

You can't have both, the IPv4 and the IPv6 address configured as HTTP proxy in the browser.
Why do you want that?

Either connect via IPv4 or IPv6 to the ASG HTTP proxy.
For the proxy it makes no difference, if you connect via IPv4 or IPv6.

The HTTP proxy will connect via IPv6 to the remote site if available,
otherwise an IPv4 connection will be established.

To see if a remote HTTP server supports IPv6, use nslookup, e.g.:
nslookup -q=AAAA The KAME project

thank you for being so patient.

I was under a misapprehension you needed both IPv4 and IPv6.

Now running on IPv6 with this W7 PC. A couple of little niggles to sort out with MS software. The worst being you need an IPv4 address otherwise the LAN fails.

Just had a minor failure the laser printer doesn't like the address, looks like it might need a new print server.

Looks like AVG free can't handle IPv6 either. I will see what happens in the morning after a restart, getting a bit late to continue playing/experimenting.
