[7.920][QUESTION][ANSWERED] about running processes

Hi folks,
while poking around in the rebuilt system looking at all the new toys I noticed a couple of processes running for functions I don't have enabled.

1/. REDD/0 and REDD/1. I am assuming this is for connecting the RED?
2/. CRYPTO/0 and CRYPTO/1. I am assuming this is for encrypting mail?

Not having the functions enabled I would have thought the associated processes should not be running.

This is kernel stuff (thus the square brackets around the process names) and both are related to RED (not related to email). I'm not into the technical details of RED, so maybe - if you're really interested in the details - you ask my coworkers directly, they have their own forum area here.
