I'm running 7.910, today we had a few seconds long blackout and after the restart there was no internet connection. Checked the webadmin and to my surprise it showed the settings page you see when you first start astaro. I've loaded my settings from a backup, the beta license, the statistics and logs are there so it was not a factory reset.
from your description i guess that the configuration database got corrupted by the blackout. If this happens, the Confd just throws it away - and after that, you see the installation wizard if you log in.
