It seems AUA or something to do with authentication of users and in particular the admin user in WebAdmin fails after the firast login and rough config of V8. has anybody got this happening? THe end result is you cannot access the Webadmin interface. When this happens, if oyu can't resolve it via back door or SSH shell, then you are looking at re-install. I must mention that this was a 64 bit kernel install as well, if that may make a difference. Did not try the 32 bit install. There are really too many bugs in this beta release V8 as well. My opinion would be to keep this under wraps until the product is really BETA.
It is very frustrating to say the least - Also, in my mind is a huge issue for us to handle clients and our own issues with keeping up with ASTARO releases. WE need some info for the behind the middleware Webadmin config, regardless of the statement of void warranty if use of root has occurred. I probably could have fixed this myself, if I had some knowledge of the webadmin structure and what changes would be allowed under the circumstances.
Would appreciate hearing what ASTARO plans in the future for this... This is really a combined beta request as well as production release request - as the failure of the web interface NIC is the second time in less than a year due to bad updates... I may have been able to fix this myself as well - [:S]
