[7.904][BUG][FIXED] dns query timed out with proxy turned on

Hi,

as this is closed I open a new one.

I get the same error message when trying to access www.nextdirect.com

Sometimes I get the astaro error page, sometimes the site is very slow, sometimes its working.

Its always working (fast) with transparent proxy disabled.

Error logs:

Same issue with IE and FF.

My DNS settings:
Internal DNS server (bind on linux) as forwarder for ASL. No forwarder on DNS server itself - using root.hint.

Nothing special when digging the fqdn from ASL or internal DNS server.

    They have been testing different things with the dns resolver but there is something definitely weird going on with http proxy and dns. This all started back here but different sites timeout for no reason and they work fine if you access them directly without the proxy.

    Only thing you have to make sure when using transparent proxy is that the client is resolving correctly and for optimum results using astaro for its resolver, since the dns is handled at client first.
