[7.903][QUESTION][ANSWERED] about the changes to the http proxy

Hi,
My workplace currently uses a juniper box to provide secure remote access for employees and support teams.

Before this v8b version of http proxy I had to have proxy bypass and number of specific packet filters for things like GRE tunnels.

Now I find none of that is required.

What has changed to allow the GRE through the proxy?

    To get the gre tunnel through before I had to have specific packet filters in place and have the secure access site bypass the proxy.

    After some experimentation on the weekend I removed the proxy bypass, disabled the special packet filters and I can still connect.

    I have a packet filter rule that basically blocks ports 1-1030 except 451:900.

    So I assumed that the proxy was now accepting GRE where as in the past it rejected it.
