I hit a strange bug which I haven't managed to reproduce though.
I managed to save/apply a setting where:
- "Assign IP addresses by" was set to "DHCP Server"
- "DHCP server" was empty
- "on interface" was set to "Internal"
See attached image. I see now I did not manage to get the "settings saved" text, so you just have to believe me. The settings you see on the image is what was accepted. I tried to reproduce the error but I just got errors about empty dhcp server/choose interface. Will try a few times more tough.
I logged in with my HTC Desire Android phone, and with this setting I was given an IP from the "Default PPTP Remote Access IP Pool":
