[7.902][NOTABUG][CLOSED] snmp not showing usage dtls but able to detect as net-snmp

Hello Friends !

i am running beta 8 and running 7.502(just installed now updating to latest )
i am able to get all expected cpu,memory,nic dtls in my network management software with 7.x but with beta8 it detect net-snmp but fail to show details 

i am running 7.x on dedicated machine and beta8 on esxi 4up1

but other guest os on esxi are showing correct output (on w2k3)
which logs i should send u

    i am solarwinds orion npm version 9.5.1

    it is showing the astaro is down 
    it is showing 80 % packets lost 
    it is showing wrong dtls of memory and hardisk utlilization 

    i am not able to add device using snmp but when i use icmp it detect it correct 

    btw:which version of snmp is use in betav8

    Have you taken a look at the packetfilter log? maybe the packets are beeing dropped.

    it's 5.4.something. try [FONT="Courier New"]rpm -qi net-snmp-chroot[/FONT] for the full story

    sorry i don't find  see any log in pf log 
    Sir ,i was talking about SNMP version 1,2,3 ...check with 7.x it was using snmp version  2, so assume same because snmp 3 is latest and require more credentials

    try [FONT="Courier New"]grep ' dstport="161" ' /var/log/packetfilter.log[/FONT]

    i ask because my favorite snmp tool tries snmp via tcp, while the asg only supports snmp via udp. Maybe your tool does this too?


     talking about SNMP version 1,2,3 


    for testing purposes you can concentrate on version 1: i tested v1 and v2c on my test machine and had no problems.

    try [FONT="Courier New"]snmpwalk -v 1 -O n -c   .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0[/FONT] from the command line of your ubuntu server. on ubuntu you probably have to install the 'snmp' package (apt-get install snmp) for this to work.

    Sorry no luck ,i could not find any thing with this 
    in fact i try this some time back with arch log search
