yesterday i added my sixxs account to the astaro. At the dashboard it shows state up but the link stays down. In the log it says that it successfully retrieved tunnel information.
I also had the "Status=on, Link=off" problem with a heartbeat tunnel from SixXS. Since I have a dynamic IP address, a static tunnel was no alternative for me.
After some research it seems the "sit" module was not loaded what caused the aiccu deamon to fail setting up its interface.
After a "modprobe sit" on the root console and a restart of the tunnel daemon everything worked for me. I'm still in the first week, so I couldn't test a subnet yet.
