[7.900][QUESTION][ANSWERED] can i create more then 1 DNS mapping

Hello Friends !

Network service>>DNS >>Static Entries

i am trying to map more then 1 dns name for single ip ,i am able to create 1 domain with 1 ip address but when i try to clone or add more dns name it give error/message "The Confd reported an error without providing any details "

reverse dns is checked !

i am able to create 2nd dns entry without Reverse DNS but when i check Reverse DNS i am getting message/error "The Confd reported an error without providing any details "

if it doesn't support more then 1 Reverse DNS entry per ip ..do u think it should give such kind of message

is it bug ?

Hi,

A reverse DNS entry is an DNS entry that gives you the hostname for a numerical IP address .
So no, there is no way that there are 2 or more reverse DNS entries for any given IP address.

We definitively need to provide a better and more explanatory error message in this case, but otherwise christian is right: this is intended behavior.
