[7.891][QUESTION][ANSWERED] tcpdump IPv6 compatible?

One small question:

is our tcpdump tool able to trace IPv6 traffic. I did a small test some days ago and it seems that it doesn't

Yes, it is IPv6 capable.

Since some of the IPv4 semantics don't apply to IPv6 you better consult the man page for details on how to specify filter expression.
