I like manually upadating my firmware updates. When you check for up2date package now, almost instantly there is a notification of a new package availability on the main dashboard window (screenshot 1). However in the up2date overview window you don't get any indication that anything is happening. (screenshot2), till the actual package is downloaded.(screenshot 3)(IE8 vista)
It would be nice, if it would say something like downloading available package etc on the up2date overview window also. That way you know something is going on in the background. Ofcourse an actual download bar that shows download progress would be just awesome.
