[7.890][BUG][OPEN] Reverse proxy listening on port 443

I can set the reverse proxy to listen on port 80, but not port 443, even if HTTPS is selected. Port 1024 and up are available. Nothing else, including the end user portal and ssl vpn are using port 443. netstat also shows it empty.

It also seems that when I select SSL, it doesn't set which certificate to use in the reverseproxy.conf. I can still access the site on the selected port using http://url[:P]ort, but not using https://url[:P]ort.

I was looking forward to testing ssl owa but I guess I will have to wait till the next release. Interestingly, though it lets you select ports under 1024 and works perfectly fine. Not only that, it gives a humanly readable error if you select a port already in use[:D]

I'll also wait for the next release to test the reverse proxy. But I'm happy it's put in this release [:)]
Hopefully we'll also get some GeoIP protection possibilities....

@Alan: can you please have another look at the reverse proxy logfile: Is there a message like this:

[error] Server should be SSL-aware but has no certificate configured 

It looks like this time we have to blame apache: if you select port 443 it automagically enables mod_ssl for that port. But since we don't have SSL enabled for that port in the WebAdmin and don't excepted this behavior, we don't have a certificate... and if apache doesn't find a certificate for that vhost, it simply croaks.

Plan is to 

• make sure that  port 443 can only be configured with SSL enabled
  
• document that port 443 can only be used for SSL
  

I confirm this conclusion. HTTP Reverse Proxy works, HTTPS not. Hopefully in the next release it will be fixed...

yes, the reverseproxy.log does show that same error as you mention.

@Alan: fine. then i'm sure this issue will be fixed in the next release
