I've just uploaded a new Beta update.
Up2Date package
For the first time there is an Up2Date package available to upgrade
from the previous release (7.875) to this one.
There is a bit of a chicken-and-egg problem there, though.
We decided that during the closed beta the Up2Date packages will not be
signed with the official Up2Date key but instead with an internal test
key only. This key is accepted by the up2date program but not available
on ASG by default. Version 7.880 will add the key to the ASG but
if you want to use the Up2Date for the upgrade you will need to add
the key manually beforehand.
So to use the Up2Date package, you need to:
[LIST=1]
- Download 7.880/u2d_gpg.key from FTP server
- Copy the file to your ASG over SSH.
- As root, execute the command gpg --import /home/login/u2d_gpg.key.
- Download 7.880/u2d-sys-7.875-880.tgz.gpg from FTP server
- In WebAdmin, go to Managment >> Up2Date >> Advanced
- Upload u2d-sys-7.875-880.tgz.gpg
- Go to Managment >> Up2Date >> Overview. The 7.880
update should be listed there now (If not, wait a bit and refresh the
site, especially if your machine is not very fast). - Trigger the Up2Date as usual.
As mentioned, this is a one-time problem only. Next week's Up2Date should
be distributed over the V8 Beta Up2Date server.
Remote Access Reporting and Accounting
The VPN Remote Access Reporting and Accounting, which was somewhat buggy
in previous releases has received some more bug fixes and enhancements
and should work now. Feedback welcome.
(Remote Access Accounting is deactivated by default for performance
reasons and can be enabled at Reporting >> Settings in WebAdmin).
