[7.875][BUG][OPEN] HTTP proxy utilisation to 100% on one core

So currently you don't see 100% on one core, right?

Have you been using the proxy at that time actively (ie. surfing)? Please have another look at the http proxy log files. Try to find out what sites may have been causing that effect.

At the moment the system is purring along at around 7% utilisation.

I have reviewed every log for that day around the time the high usage started.

Most logs have very little in them at that time and nothing out of the ordinary. One stopped at approx 1850 where it had been recording all day. it was the http daemon.

Svens would surely look at the dumps, because it's his code and he knows it well enough (okay... he knows it by heart ;-) ) to get valuable information out of a coredump. But for me, it would take too long to find my way around the place, so i think we'll better wait for svens to come back from his vacation.

Updating to 7.885 is definitely a good idea if you want to use the proxy ;-)

tonight at 1940 Melbourne time the http proxy has started to use a lot of cpu time.
Depending on what part of the ASG I am looking at depends on the value used.
1/. Dashboard shows 52%
2/. Reports show 50% approx
3/. Webadmin -> support only shows the http proxy consuming approx 19% of CPU.
4/. according to TOP process httpproxy is consuming 100% - one core.

I have reviewed most of the logs and can't find any entries that are significant at the time shown on the reports as the condition starting.

I would suggest that
config daemon log
http daemon log
kernel log
be reviewed. None of these appear to have anything to do with the http proxy issue.

Another issue which probably should be raised as a bug, is that sometime this afternoon my ASG was issued a new IP address by the ISP, this is not recorded anywhere eg in the PPPoE log.
