I think this was reported previously and declared fixed.
while investigating what went wrong this morning I found 5 attack attempts in the IPS log, but not reported anywhere.
SNORT restarted this morning at approximately the same time as I started my PC. Eventually I had to restart the PC, files weren't downloading, webpages kept timing out. No entries in the IPS log though. Yes, I had internet, e-mail came through, this forum worked but slowly and intermittently.
This is my second attempt to post this thread. HTTP proxy just died again. Seems like a feature of this version.

I was wrong, it isn't the http proxy crashing, but snort.
