[7.860][NOTABUG/DUPE][CLOSED] mac and ip

I am having trouble understanding your connection setup, please draw a logical connection diagram.

can u please check with u r system 

my system is ,i tryed with two way (1-ethernet in bridge mode (my wan ip to external )2 nat mode where i use static ip from adsl router 192.168.1.125 ip of asg wan 

desktop is 192.168.2.200 
laptop is 192.168.2.150
no dhcp 
using regular switch

my setup is
modem in bridge mode
ASG PPPoE
VLANs
192.168.10.0/24
192.168.111.0/24

PCs work on 192.168.10 network.
Default gateway on all internal networks is the external address.

I had a look at my system PF log for you and my internal and external IP addresses use the same MAC address.

This might be a bit long winded but here goes.

While I agree with you that having the internal and external IP addresses reporting to the same MAC is strange, when one is inside and the other IP is outside. Especially when you look at the MAC addresses associated with the IP addresses in the Network configuration tab,,

Not being aware of how Astaro have designed their software and it all seems to work correctly without having any security holes, then I would have to conclude it is not a bug.

Since traffic to external servers is routed through the ASG (which obviously acts as the default gateway) it's clear that the MAC-address of the ASG is listed as the destination-MAC of the packet. 

I'll set this thread on DUPE and close it.
