can you explain what you tried to do and where you've got a problems?

is this right command

  /usr/local/bin/report_render.plx --pdf --archive --sendmail

this generates several reports - no more, no less

my problem is log are not rotating  ,i can yesterday and day before yesterdays log in today log this 

can u pls tell me which command i should execute to clear/backup log  for /etc/crontab  or do i have to use any other cron job (if i am not making mistake ASG is makeing log backup at 23:58 ? )

You don't have to issue any commands "by hand", the ASG does this automatically for you.

Why do you think that the logs aren't rotated any more? The excerpts from the logrotate.txt only show entries from 2010-01-12, which looks reasonable to me.
