[7.851][QUESTION][ANSWERED] is msn/live messanger working ?

Hello Friends !

last time i try this but had some confusion that why i deleted the thread but can some one please check is msn/live messanger is working as i dont see definition for that i have create still i had some problem

    live messenger works fine via http proxy without any extra rules. I just created a firewall rule to allow port 1863 tcp traffic and that makes the messenger work a lot faster. It worked fine without opening ssl port and I don't use ssl proxy in astaro. 

    My proxy is running in transparent mode with all the default settings other than url filtering categories. Make sure you are not blocking yours with url filtering.

    Hi,
    I have found the basic secret is not to use the msn messenger test function, that is one plain dumb piece of software, can't even follow it own configurations.

    MSN works with W7 and v8b. I do get a lot of dropped synch packets and also ack packets, but that happens on a lot of tother sites and in previous version of ASG.
    I have a general PF rule for ports above 1030 an duse the http proxy in standard mode. At the moment https scanning is disabled waiting for the next beta release.
