[7.490][BUG][ACK] SIP fails after each firmware

Updated to 7.490 and SIP died again.

It has stopped working after each beta update.

To get it working again had to remove all SIP settings and redo them.

(Tried many combination of restart/disable/re-enable to find this "work around")

Not a HUGE issue but all phones will die until you are able to find/apply this trick.

    can you try to disable Masquerading and create a similar SNAT rule instead? And post here if this change the behavior?

    I need masquerading for the other services over the VPN and frankly now that I have found a work around I would rather move on.

    It appears that SIP is not a very important feature for the developers. If they do not think this is a big problem then I am not about to spend a lot of time to prove the point.

    Fact is I believe I have a very typical application. Polycom 550 phone in remote office connecting to Asterisk server in head office over VPN. 

    As long as one are aware that a firmware upgrade breaks this and what they need to do to fix it it can remain just an annoyance.

    (I am sure Astaro will get around to giving a tech a day to chase this down)

    Tom,

    it is possible to create a SNAT with the same function as masquerading. See attached screenshot. The function is the same, but different handled by the kernel.

    Everything works fine now, the only thing that breaks the SIP is a firmware upgrade. I do not expect new firmware for a while.

    I understand that it is possible to track this down but I do not feel the satisfaction I would get is worth the effort.

    I simply reported the problem and have found a work around.

    I am curious but I am curious about a good number of other things that are more demanding.

    I will let Astaro determine if they care about this.
