I just wanted to set a warning only rule to drop. So I went to the advanced tab of the IPS page in Webadmin. There I clicked on the green plus, entered my rule no. (2418), set the drop-down to "drop", did not activate any of the two check boxes and clicked "Save".
Result was the rule was set to drop, but additionally notifications were also disabled, although I did NOT tick the check box!
Here's a screenshot for clarification:
If I enable the "disable notifications" check box the notification is in fact activated. So the "disable notification" check box works just the contrary way.
