Hi all,

if we get now answer from the 'routing target' will a non existing recipient be accepted?

2009:09:04-16:49:40 mail1 exim[10573]: 2009-09-04 16:49:40 [192.***.***.***] F= R= Verifying recipient address with callout 

=> Yes, the non existing recipient will be accepted.

I can't see any line talking about an error or time out in the SMTP proxy log.

    Hi BAlfson,

    for sure...

    I have an exchange behind my primary mx astaro and the mails are rejected to non existing users.

    My secondary astaro is forwarding the mails to my primary astaro using the callout and the verify is working as it should.

    But if the primary or the exchange is down I want to be informed that my box isn't able to verify the recipient address... -just one simple line in the smtp proxy log...
