Beta 7.490 Coming

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let the forum know first that sometime in the next few hours you'll see 7.490 being made available to your Beta installations. This puts a lot more of the code into the GA state, cleans up most of the bugs you've found (and some we've found as well [;)]) and also fixes some issues with the SSL VPN that came up.

I'll post download details and other information for you later today. Happy testing!

AngeloC is there a changelog with the bug fixed so we-testers- now which bugs are now resolved??

unfortunately our current system doesn't allow us to easily "export" a publically viewable list of addressed bugs etc...however it is something we'll look at for future betas. For now, this is very close to final and aside from major areas of error or really broken things, there won't be any more "features" or changes made most likely. We try to fix every bug that is reported, but some very specific ones which crop up only in certain combinations of hardware/software programs/ OS used cannot be quickly fixed on a one by one basis, but we do try!

fobe, if you're like me (ASG with only 512MB) and you want to get the Up2Date into your Astaro, you can do it manually from the command line with the following code:
cd /var/up2date/sys
wget ftp.astaro.de/.../u2d-sys-7.480-490.tgz.gpg
auisys.plx --showdesc

Then you can run the Up2Date from WebAdmin just as if it had downloaded the package itself.

PS Otherwise, if you attempt to do a manual download to your PC and then upload it to your Astaro, it will get to 99% and then just hang!
