I've setup 2 nealem box with initial smp kernel as active/active... both boxes are synced...
then I connected through ssh onto asg1 which is the master then to asg2 (through the interco) which is the slave I then installed the bigsmp kernel (rpm -Uvh ...) then throught the webmin I did rebooted that asg2 slave... and it rebooted fine..
I then waited both HA get synced... then I updated that bigsmp kernel onto the master, then through the webmin I did reboot the master (asg1)... but seems the slave did not became master !
and I get these errors after the asg1 did rebooted finally:

in the HA config interco is eth0, and "Enable automatic configuration of new devices" is active, asg1 is the preferred master and backup interface is set to eth1 (my wan interface)
I'm also using Dynamic Routing/OSPF...
