[7.480][QUESTION][OPEN] High Memory Usage After Clean Install of New Beta

Which features are you using (http content filter, antivirus, antispam, etc.)?

If you have multiple CPUs, there will be an extra copy of Snort running for each cpu core, so more memory will be used than was in 7.40x.

Hi,
how long after you installed the new version did you notice this high usage. A new box takes a while to settle down while it builds databases etc.

Without IPS mine settles down to about 25% of 1.9gb after about 10 minutes.

I am not running anything strange. Web, Email, and such. Attached is a screen shot. 

Overall network performance seems OK, no hardware changes since last beta build, I ran about 24-26% utilization before. 

I am thinking it is a comedic issue with the reporting unless someone can tell me otherwise. 

SYSTEM: P4 1.8Ghz Single Core, 1GB, 250GB

My cpu usage is a little higher than before but I suspect that is due to me making too many configuration changes. The ram usage is at 57% of 1GB plus I have everything enabled in my IPS so that is taking more ram than it would usually.
What does top look like?

After completing the upgrade to 7.480, there was a 10 percent increase in memory usage. The memory increase has remained the same since Wednesday when the upgrade was completed. The features that I am running are IPS, email, and web.
