the following is my experience with the http bug and some other issues.
HTTP interruption and hardware
I have been trying to find some hardware that will work without having the continual interruptions to my audio streaming or software downloads.
I was trying to build a low power system. I have gradually been getting the power consumption down. The lowest being 40 watts with the atom based system.
My sons have been getting vey upset at the continual interruptions to their downloads and games which has only happened since I started using the v7.500b.
Hardware that suffers from the interruption bug. The setups below have all been built from the same v7.500b ISO.
1/. Intel D945GCLF2 Intel Atom 330 x2 cpu with 2gb ram, extra NIC Intel pro/1000 GT, 120gb 7200 2.5” HD
2/. Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2P with AMD BE 2300 x2 with 2gb ram (2 x 1gb DDR2)extra NIC Intel Pro/1000 GT 120gb 7200 2.5” HD
3/. Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 S2P with AMD BE 2300 x2 with 2gb ram (2 x 1gb DDR2) extra NIC Intel Pro/1000 GT 120gb 7200 2.5” HD (This one was difficult to get going at all. Needs lots of configs to get the disk setup correct.)
As you can see I have spent a considerable amount of money trying to resolve this problem. The last 2 motherboards are based on a belief that the AMD based boards don’t have this problem, because 2 of my motherboards don’t have this problem.
1/. Asus M2A-VM with a AMD x4 9500 with 4gb ram ( 4 x 1 gb DDR2) extra NIC Intel Pro/1000 GT, 120gb 7200 2.5” HD. This setup also works with an AMD BE2300 x2 and BE 2350 x2. Current ASG runs 100 watts.
2/. Gigabyte GA-M61SME-S2 with AMD BE 2300 x2 with 2gb ram (2 x 1gb DDR2) extra NIC Intel Pro/1000 GT 120gb 7200 2.5” HD (tested under v7.450b only)
I have tried to get the bandwidth monitoring function working on all these setups, but it doesn’t work on any of them. So conclusion I must have a config that is stopping the bandwidth monitor collecting information.
At the moment I have IPS disabled due to a pattern bug which blocks internal DNS but doesn’t log the results. A new pattern is due out shortly, that was at approx 2052 Australian time. You don't have to have your interface monitored, just need IPS enabled.
Time for the next beta release for testing, this version is getting a bit long in the tooth.

the amd phenom 9500 was my linux workstation and will be again when I resolve the http problem. The atom box can become the dhcp/dns server
Update.
The M61PME-S2P was finally convinced to work without failing. A new disk drive, major configuration changes to the BIOS. The hard disk failed and looks like it had been going down hill for a while without any errors. A brand new laptop drive. Now using an old 36gb 10k Sata 1 drive.
Could not get the MA74 to work again, took over 2 hours to install.
