This is an odd one. The CPU usage bar in Dashboard shows 100% CPU usage and 0% swap usage. The Daily Log file seems to confirm this. The Process list only shows about 40% total usage, with 35 of the 40 being used by PostGres. Normally CPU usage is around 5%. The important fact is, that when CPU usage is really 100%, webmin hangs and responds very sluggishly. Web Admin is responding as if there is no load at all. Possible bug?
I agree that WebAdmin is always sluggish when the load really is 100%, so I suspect you have indeed unearthed a bug. What configuration change did you make at 17:45 yesterday?

Hi Bob, Thanks, good question. The only configuration changes made near that time were: a) removed the Vonage portal from behind the ASG firewall, and inserted it between the DSL modem and 1 of the external NICs on the ASG. Routing issues were never resolved where multilink is used, and an internal host or protocol must use only 1 of the external NICs. b) The external NIC is configured for DHCP. It did not re-acquire a new IP address. I clicked on the 'renew' button on the interfaces screen, but that didn't do anything. (Another possible bug) c) I clicked on the grey button to shutdown the NIC, waited 15 sec's, and then the green to restart the NIC. It then acquired a new IP address. Looking at the process list to determine what processes were started yesterday if found: d) root 23573 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S Jul24 0:00 \_ [pdflush] root 7988 0.0 0.1 2520 1160 ? Ss Jul24 0:00 \_ /bin/bash /bin/DHCPC.sh root 7799 0.0 0.6 9020 6800 ? S Jul24 0:13 ddclient - sleeping for 60 seconds root 8060 0.0 0.0 1548 404 ? Ss Jul24 0:00 /usr/sbin/dhcpcd -d -G -c /usr/sbin/eth2 -R eth2 root 8256 0.0 0.3 7104 3464 ? Ssl Jul24 0:00 /usr/local/bin/service_monitor
Does this info help any at all? I'm going to reboot after this message to see if that changes anything. Thanks
P.S. OK, I rebooted. Did a soft reboot via the ASG interface. After 10 mins, it still had not rebooted. ASG is in remote location, (utility closet), with no monitor. I was unable to observe which processes may have failed to start. I then performed a hard reboot, with the OFF button, and it rebooted OK. CPU usage is again at 5% Thanks
I have a 100% cpu usage also.
Clean install, restored backup file and update via 7.460 to 7.470
Dasboard showed 100% for a long time.
Logged into the local cosole and did a top -d1
Top is showing confd.plx is using >93% cpu time for several hours now.
