[7.470][DUPE][ANSWERED] Error message formatting bug/corruption

Definitions > Networks >

enter a name: abcd
set type to: network
set address to: 10.1.0.10 (probably anything would work)
interface: any
set netmask to: 0.0.0.0
click save,

you will get something like this:

Network with 'Any' address is missing an interface.\nWill deactivate object 'REF_JiKegHhVvk' (network->network).\n\nAddress 10.1.35.1 is not a /0 network address.\nWill use 0.0.0.0/0 instead.

    I was able to reproduce this, but the problem is more-complex than you describe.

    If you press [OK], it creates a network 0.0.0.0/0, as it warns.  If you press [Cancel] and try again with 0, it repeats the gobbledy-gook error message.  Now, here's the interesting part....

    If, instead of 10.1.0.0/0, try 10.1.0.0/1; when you press [Save], there is no warning and the definition closes as if the object had been created with an impossible definition.  The good/bad news is that nothing is created.

    Actually I have have put the fact that nothing get created and there is no error message in a second bug report located here:

    https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/98/t/68285

    This one was to report the malformating in the error message. (with the \n etc..)

    There is actually like 2-3 bug in the sames area.
