[7.470][BUG][CONFIRMED] Setting 0.0.0.0/0 ip for vlan interface allowed in some cases

Hi

Create an vlan interface on based on any free interface, then set a regular ip 1.2.3.4/24 or whatever...

save... everything is fine... now edit it (without shutdown) and replace 1.2.3.4/24 by 0.0.0.0/0 it will complains !

so now cancel then disable interface and set 0.0.0.0/0 save and now enable it again... no more complaints [[:)]]

sort of inconsistency to me [[:)]] maybe same for any interface ?

The issue is real, and not specific to 7.500. It is probably present in every V7 release.

I analyzed the bug and a fix is possible, but the whole interface handling is a complex
system and I think the risk that we introduce some subtle breakage in this phase of the
release process is too great.

So given the age of the bug and that it doesn't break anything the user didn't misconfigure and that the problem still can be noticed by the user from the fact that the interface doesn't come up, I decided to postpone the fix for now. We will take another look after 7.500 is released.
