[7.470][FEATURE][ANSWERED] Adding a group definition to another group gives bad error.

If you create a new group with the members of another group it gives a strange error.
Screenshot: Add a new service definition. Change the type of definition as group. Now try adding any of the group definitions that you have created or the predefined in webadmin like astaro up2date etc. You will get the error in the screenshot. 
Tested on FF3.5 vista sp2 and IE8.

    Hi Bob,

    this is not a bug. Since version 7.0 it is not possible to use service groups into service groups. Please open a feature request for that.

    Andy, I think BillyBob has a point... that error message should not be listing the internal REF_****** names of the invalid items, it should be using the user-readable names... or, better yet, pop up a box that says "Groups can not be added as Group Elements" or something to that effect... that's just a sloppy error dialog, that's all.

    Thanks bruce for backing me on this. If the functionality exists and it is giving you some vague error, why not fix that error. The Ref_Icanwrite_awesomecode. doesn't help anyone but astaro for trouble shooting.

    I am not asking to add functionality, I am asking to fix the error. By the way that functionality existed in v6 and somehow disappeared in v7

    Hi together, I would do it If I could ;-) But regarding to some other open threads we cannot replace the REF numbers with readable names. The webadmin is not writing the error messages. This will be done by the engine in the backend. So in this case we have the messages directly from the base. But this behaviour is generally in version 7. In version 6 all was very static we wrote the configuration directly to the files and it was able to read the config in plain text. In version 7 all is object based. The configuration is stored in a big database named confdaemon and all is linked with object. The viewable error messages will come directly from the confdaemon. So please be so kind and open a feature request.
