[7.470][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Ready beeps don't wait for IDS

After the system boots, it informs of its readiness by beeping a few times. It however does not wait for the IDS to initialize and therefore is inaccessible after the beeps for some time.

I am sure the time will be different depending on snort instances and processing power but the system is not ready when the beeps say that it is.

I believe Bob reported about this behavior with 7.46 also.

    The "beep" indicated that the system is up (access via cli possible) but then all the modules have to initialize (ids,http proxy etc) and thus you have to wait for a while

    Any hardware appliance I have used, beeps/green means ready. Doesn't mean go ahead take a coffee break I am almost ready.

    Plus astaro has made significant changes to IDS. If it is affecting functionality, they should know about it don't you think?
