After the system boots, it informs of its readiness by beeping a few times. It however does not wait for the IDS to initialize and therefore is inaccessible after the beeps for some time.
I am sure the time will be different depending on snort instances and processing power but the system is not ready when the beeps say that it is.
I believe Bob reported about this behavior with 7.46 also.
