[7.460][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Switching from DHCP interface to PPPOE does not work

Hi

I've done a new install using the initial wizard... and when on wan config I choosed DHCP/Cable Modem connection... which of course will not work as my router is configured in bridge mode...

then once everything is done.. I go and edit the WAN interface to meet my real need which is configured as PPPOE with my good infos... (verified and verified again...)

but nothing is working... [:(]

and I get these errors in PPPOE live logs (every seconds or 2):

I've done 2 installs like this without luck...

And I've installed in between another install and choosed the right PPPOE config (instead of dhcp/cable modem) in the wizard... and these times (I did it twice) everything is working fine...

So seems there is a problem when switching from one interface type to another (at least from Cable Modem/DHCP to PPPOE...)

    Ok just done new tests

    I've setup my router as bridge and rebooted it (waited some time) then

    installed asg 7.470 using the wizard with Cable Modem/DHCP and after wizard completed went to edit the External WAN interface to switch it to PPPOE with all good infos, and everything worked fine... then I did shut down that asg...

    then I rebooted my router to be in same status as for previous test...

    then installed asg 7.460 using the wizard with Cable Modem/DHCP and after wizard completed went to edit External WAN interface to switch it to PPOe with all good infos, and this time like in initial post I get:

    So seems you have fixed this into 7.470, so was really a bug ? and need a small CONFIRMED [:D]

    Erm honestly, I just pleased you to wait for v7.470 because it has additional debug info enabled for PPPoE ;-). You should get much more useful state messages in pppoe.log

    There may been some changes to PPPoE but not related to this thread in the first place. If this is fixed now anyway, the better [:D]
