i have a 7.403 box i backedup, I have a new box i freshinstalled 7.406 setup the nics and webadmin worked fine, i restore my backup from 7.403, it switched my nics so lan was wan and wan was lan, so i switched cables. I can ping the box from the Lan but can't access webadmin from the lan. Strange i can from the wan, so i look at logs while i try to connect from the lan to see if thier are any errors, there are not. Any ideas, I even try to change the webadmin port, didn't help.
Thanks for the quick reply, I check and it was set to any, i added my pc and my network to it just to be sure. I still have the same issue. I have to remote to a pc outside and then come back to admin the box, it won't connect from the Lan. Also why did it switch my eth0 and eth1 i wanted the gig card to be the lan and the 10/100 on wan, I don't see anyway to switch one to another..
Side note if it helps both nics are using irq 169 (thought this is odd) one is a integrated Dell Intel card and one is a 3com
I have had this issue before but I can't remember how I fixed it. I think the problem arises because packet filter rules are setup for the NIC and the network related to it in the initial setup. When you do a restore, althogh webadmin now calls your LAN, WAN or DMZ or whatever, the initial setup is not flushed somehow.
I would go via wan where you can administer astaro and delete LAN and recreate it. Also make sure that if you are using http proxy that you put astaro in the bypass list. Since if astaro is confused about LAN and WAN, I am sure http proxy is confused also.
The worst part is that if you do a factory reset at this point, it will take you back to where you initially started and switch your networks back around.
I've been complaining about the restore not working correctly; that a reboot after restore is needed to get the complete configuration to load. Have you rebooted (from the WebAdmin 'Management >> Shutdown/Restart')?
