[7.460][QUESTION][ANSWERED] reset license ?

Hi

probably aready asked somewhere but did not found it...

Is there a way to reset the license (not the count but the license itself) to the beta default without loosing backup ?

I know I can import my software backup to an appliance.. but is there any better way ?

(I've installed my home user key into my beta test asg)

I know of no way you can reset the license within WebAdmin or cc. I would guess that this is by design.

Here are the commands to reset the license count, but they don't always help:
cc set licensing active_ips []
cc set licensing user_limit_exceeded 0

ok this is no function of the webadmin and it's not planned to implement it. Please open a feature request that is possible in a further version over the webadmin.

I don't want it to be a feature in webadmin or whatever...

I just need to reset the licenses to the beta ones... without loosing my config... so I can test extra things like HA... which are not in my license... [:(]

you can do this with the commands from barry. If you install 7.5 from scratch you can test HA without a license. If you need a trial license please ask your reseller.

I tried those commands on a friend's 7.403 system and they didn't do anything; the next night it sent another warning and it's still counting old IPs.

Hi there,

just use one of the beta licenses attached to a sticky thread.

It is not possible to revert back to the 30-day initial trial, after installing a license, which you implicitly did by importing a backup.
