[7.450][BUG][NOTABUG] IPS screws up NNTP sessions and newsreader programs

Hi all,

I still need to investigate more to pinpoint the exact rule(s) that screw up the usage of newsgroups and/or newsreaders like Newsleecher but i can at this stage confirm that some weird behaviour is caused by the (default) IPS rules and settings.

Will follow up shortly with more detail,

Can you please post the respective entries in from the ips.log?

I would if there where any [:(], that's the thing when IPS is running and ie Newsleecher fails, nothing is shown in the IPS live log. As soon as i turn IPS off ie Newsleecher works fine. Maybe i need to alter the config somewhere but then please advise where [:)]
