[7.450][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Slow connection speed

Hi,

For the last few days, the connection has slowed down dramatically.
I have a 10Mb/s link which reduced to 3Mb/s after 2 weeks of intensive use of the Astaro. The link came back up at full speed once I rebooted the Astaro.

I tried reseting the modem, and all the devices around the Astaro to leave the Astaro reboot as a last resort, and to identify the fault by elimination.

Now, this is definitely not the best bug report, since I was unable to find the cause so far, but I am working on it.

Note:
- I am not using the Astaro Proxy, I use squid on the LAN.
- I have QOS defined for VoIP and SMTP, nothing for HTTP.
- The Astaro is running on a HP dual Xeon 3.6G / 4Gb Ram, so plenty of grunt there.
- The console was reporting everything as normal and I could not find any rogue processes running (I might have missed something!)

I realise my post won't help much with debugging, but would be interested if anyone had a similar experience.  I am going to work more on find the cause.

    I checked and memory was hovering around 50% which wasn't any different than usual.

    I will hunt down those threads, but it has never been an issue on that same machine that has been stable since the early V7 versions.

    I'll double check. Although I am using a quad port intel 82546EB for my LANs, the WAN ports are connected on the built-in Broadcomm BCM5704 and have never been an issue before.
