[7.450][BUG][NOTABUG] Shortkuts Open by pressing Shift-<Shortcut>

Hi,

yesterday evening i thougt it was to late and i had thick fingers, but today i could reproduce it on a second machine.

- Login to Webadmin
- go to Management->Webadmin Settings
- Place the cursor in Webadmin-Timout field
- Press +Z
=> The Network Objects view opens

This only happens once. If you pressed the key it didn't work for the same combination.

You can restore this behavior by changing the shortcuts and after that restoring it to defaults.

Mario, on my 7.450, Shift-Z does nothing unless the cursor is actually in the field, and then it creates a "Z" just as it should.

Ctrl-Z displays as you say. If I hit it again immediately, nothing happens, as you say, but if I wait two seconds, then it works as it should.

Bob, which browser did you use? i used FF3 and also tried with IE7. Always the same.

I get the expected behavior from my fresh install. Shift-z gives me a uppercase Z in the field.

I tried with IE8 and it gives me a "Z" as expected.

Did you try with another keyboard? USB keyboard act funny sometimes :-)

At my site, the network tab appears and if I press Shift+Z twice (very fast) then a Z appears (but only if I've clicked into the Timeout field before).

Would not call this a bug.

hi nitehawk,

my problem was that the network tab appeared although STRG was configured as hot key, not SHIFT.

i'm not able to reproduce it anymore, at my first post i could reproduce it with firefox 3 and IE7. it doesn't work anymore so i would call it some magic...
