i am trying to join the ASG into my domain with 7.460 for some days now .. made sure i tried every hint or trick i found on this board for joining ad 2003 domains
time sync, pre win2000 account, dns a record for the asg, short admin password etc. etc.
the AD user authentication test (users/authentication/servers/edit server) works fine:
User authentication: Authentication test passed. User is a member of the following groups: SuperAdmins Active Directory Users
prefetch under advanced works fine, users and groups are added to the asg users/groups without problems
but on the join i have to give up ... the asg will not join my domain for some reason the operation either times out (abort/add 30 seconds) or just fails
are you sure it is really fixed ? never had problems joining before the 7.5beta

i join yesterday sucsessfully a 2003 ad with ASG 7.460.
At the first time, i had no chance to join, i must ad a Domain DNS Server into the ASG config. After that, ther was no problem to join into the domain.
I try to join a AD, and become everytime the "failure" popup.
After multiple tests with another user, server, e.g. i search on this board and find a Thread with similar problems.
So I look at the support-tab and there at tools. I try a Pingcheck at the FQND of my first DC, and bingo the ASG coud not resolve the IP.
I ad the DNS server and try the pingcheck again, and the ASG resolve the IP correctly.
After that, the join was no problem.
I ad the DNS under -> Network Services --> DNS --->Forwarders
