[7.450][BUG][FIXED] Transparent Mode Issue

Not sure about the second link, but the first one works fine.

Strange, I just had the same symptoms as the original poster for the 1st (nvidia download) link using Firefox, with Transparent Proxy.  OK with IE and Transparent Proxy.

But after re-enabling the Transparent Proxy and using Firefox, the link did work.  I'll test a bit more tomorrow to see if I can reproduce the enable/disable Proxy error-condition for that particular link.

'Page does not exist' with or without Transparent Proxy, using either IE or Firefox.

eFrisky, I think its because it get cache in the browser`s cache, if you play with enable / disable,   make sure you refresh the page with Holding SHIFT and click on reload. this will force Firefox to reload the page, and for me it cause the Driver download link to always fail when the transparent proxy is ON.

Can confirm this. This was actually a bug in the URL parser. Should be fixed now. The same bug was also causing the Downloader Page failure in Transparent mode. Stupid me. [:)]

Astaro's normal practice is to release several beta's before the Release Candidate... so I'm sure we'll be seeing a 7.460, etc. before too long...

I would definitely be interested in getting that patch asap. Right now I am getting errors using google constantly. Google image search is especially bad (99% of the links fail). 

Changing the mode to Standard seems to have resolved the issue for now, but I prefer to run in transparent.

fyi, setting the setting to standard bypass the proxy & its protection unless you set the proxy address in your web browser`s proxy settings.

Yup, that was the plan.

I'm seeing this issue too. No images are showing up on a google image search when proxy in transparent mode. Has there been a fix for this posted yet?

There is no patch for this yet, but you can avoid the bug by using the standard proxy and setting the astaro`s ip address in the proxy setting of your web browser, it is running on port 8080

@ BrucekConvergent: you're perfectly right, Astaro will release several beta releases before launching the upcoming release.

@ Pestilent: you'll get the fix by installing one of the next beta releases - if it's tested good enough, I'm pretty sure that Sven will check this into the next release.
