[7.450][BUG][NOTABUG] Repeating entries in "configuration daemon" log

Hi,

I see following entries at the log:


2009:05:31-19:12:44 beta confd[4404]: id="3108" severity="info" sys="System" sub="confd" name="reloading storage" client="index.plx" facility="webadmin" user="admin" srcip="10.254.0.1" version="8" storage="/cfg"

2009:05:31-19:12:44 beta confd[4404]: id="3100" severity="info" sys="System" sub="confd" name="freeze" client="index.plx" facility="webadmin" user="admin" srcip="10.254.0.1"

2009:05:31-19:12:44 beta confd[4404]: id="3100" severity="info" sys="System" sub="confd" name="thaw" client="index.plx" facility="webadmin" user="admin" srcip="10.254.0.1"

Those three lines are written to the log every second....is this just on my machine?

Have you experienced this error before ? I am having the same issue (both in version 7.402 and 7.403)

Well, I was looking into the log as it's growing and growing.

I've cleared the log now and didn't open in "Live View" the messages are still written
every second. Maybe it's not a bug, but it fill up the log

I'm seeing this in 7.403 as well as in 7.450.

Have restarted now to see what happens (still no live view - only downloaded the log)
Still the same messages (and the log grows)...

Actually this is not an issue after all ...

We missed that you are viewing the Confd log via the WebAdmin live log functionality. This will trigger an update query from the WebAdmin to the Confd every second, resulting in the loglines you posted.

I've read that but I get those messages also when I download the file - NOT using
the live view. That's what confusing.....

I don't understand the problem. I just looked at my log size on console and its around 500k. It will be bigger and smaller depending on how many times you make changes on webadmin which will contact confdaemon which will talk to middleware daemon and so on and all those entries will be logged.
I didn't see any error entries just the usual stuff. How big is your log file?

It's not a problem, just wanted to mention that I wasn't using live view.
Before I cleared the log it was about 11 MB (the VM isn't running always)....

If this still normal then it's OK. ;-) (but I'll keep an eye on the size)

wow 11mb might be an issue. Since I am not running mine in vm, I can't duplicate the problem.

Have installed the beta now on a old client - I don't know what caused the extreme size, but this is no problem anymore.

But I still get this messages ..... and DO NOT use live logging (for that log)
