[7.450][INFO] Long Checksum, Nice Restore

I just installed 7.500 Beta. The install went smoothly, except the Verifying Package Checksum took 16 minutes. I thought the computer froze at first (after 15 minutes). I Re-installed and had more patience [:)]

I started to do the setup from scratch, but ran out of time to get all things working. I tried to restore my setup from a backup earlier this morning (version 7.402). -- It worked wonderfully.

I am in the midst of my second install attempt after seemingly exorbitantly long checksums verification. Guess I will have to have a bit more patience this time around [:)]

FWIW, I don't run the checksum unless I have a problem. Perhaps I'm too trusting...

I didn't see an option to skip the check at the end of the install. Did I overlook the option?

No you didn't. Bob thought you did a manual check of the ISO integrity with the MD5 hash.

I had no problems during the installation, the check was done in under 20 seconds (perhaps due to my fast hardware [:D])
